Fitting and use

1. Switch off the machine and raise the needle to its highest position.
2. Remove the presser foot and, if fitted, the snap-on shank adapter.
3. Hook the foot's lever over the needle clamp screw, align the bracket with the presser bar and tighten the presser-foot screw.
4. Lower or cover the feed dogs and set stitch length to 0 if your manual recommends it.
5. Turn the handwheel slowly to confirm needle clearance, then test on scrap fabric.
