The #P60437 Open-Toe Darning Foot (also sold as 4021H-0T) is a spring-action presser foot built for free-motion quilting and embroidery on HIGH-SHANK sewing machines. The fully open front frame removes every obstruction from your sightline so you can follow printed quilt designs, stipple curved paths, and thread-paint fine detail without losing track of where the needle is landing. The spring mechanism holds fabric flat against the throat plate during each stitch cycle, releasing between stitches so the quilt sandwich moves freely in any direction -- that steady contact dramatically reduces thread breakage when using heavier decorative or specialty threads in dense stitching. This foot will NOT mount on a standard low-shank ankle; confirm your machine is high-shank before ordering. Fits Brother, Janome and Juki machines on the high-shank platform -- 19 proven models.
