Janome 202441009 is the high-shank 1/4-inch ruler foot for ruler-guided machine quilting on supported Janome 7 mm and 9 mm high-shank, top-loading models.

Specifications and use

• Foot type: high-shank ruler-work presser foot; not a standard 1/4-inch piecing foot.
• The 1/4-inch-high cup rides against the edge of a quilting ruler to help prevent the ruler from slipping over or under the foot.
• The needle drops 1/4 inch from the ruler edge; the V-shaped front and center markings improve sightlines.
• Use an appropriate quilting ruler; SewingPartsOnline recommends a straight-stitch needle plate for better results.
• Not for low-shank Janome machines. Janome lists 202442000 as the separate low-shank ruler foot; these are not interchangeable by assumption.
