This chrome-finished steel darning plate fastens over the feed dogs with the included low-profile thumb screw. By preventing the feed dogs from advancing the fabric, it lets you guide the work by hand for darning, free-motion quilting, embroidery and buttonholer work.

Compatible vintage Singer machines include Class 15 and models 27/127, 28/128, 66, 99, 185, 201, 206, 221 Featherweight, 301, 306, 319, 401, 403, 404, 500 and 503. It is also listed for the Alphasew 221.

This plate is screw-mounted; do not confuse it with a snap-in darning plate or a replacement needle plate. Compare the screw position and plate shape with your machine bed before ordering.
