A built-in guide blade rides along the raw fabric edge so your 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) seam allowance stays perfectly consistent stitch after stitch -- no squinting at needle-plate markings required. That same guide earns its keep whenever those markings cannot be used, such as when closing a flat seam or working along a non-standard edge. Whether you are piecing quilt blocks, joining binding strips, or any task where a measured 1/4-inch margin is non-negotiable, the foot takes the guesswork out of every pass. Designed exclusively for Singer slant-shank machines.
