The result is smooth, pucker-free stitching through thick quilt sandwiches, multiple denim layers, and fabrics that creep or slip -- velvet, corduroy, knits, and plaid-matched fashion fabric alike. Because the foot grips both surfaces simultaneously, pattern repeats and stripe alignments stay locked from start to finish. This foot is equally at home machine-quilting binding through batting or taming any stack of layers where a conventional foot would let the top sheet drag behind. The high-shank screw-on bar is purpose-built for straight-stitch machines and mounts directly to a high-shank presser bar.
