The feed dog is the toothed metal plate that sits beneath the needle plate and grips fabric with every stitch cycle, driving it forward at the rate your machine is set for. When the teeth wear flat, bend, or chip, fabric advancement turns erratic -- producing puckered seams, variable stitch length, or material that stalls under the presser foot. Replacing the feed dog restores the consistent, controlled fabric movement your machine was designed around. Part #0000275000 is also referenced as #275000, and it is the correct fit for the Old-Style CB-hook mechanical generation of BERNINA machines. Fits BERNINA Old-Style mechanical machines across the 1000- through 1500-series -- 16 compatible models, including the 1008, 1080, 1090, 1230, and 1530. Note: the BERNINA 1630 uses a different feed dog and is not compatible with this part.
