Guide the fabric edge against the spring-loaded blade to sew consistent 1/4-inch or 1/8-inch seams. This #57 foot is intended for patchwork, quilt piecing, precise straight topstitching and clean corner turns.
Three side notches mark the needle line and quarter-inch positions before and behind the needle. Use a center needle position with a straight stitch.
This old-style foot fits compatible 5.5 mm BERNINA machines, including 830, 930, 1230, 1530 and 1630. It is not a standard low-shank snap-on foot.
This is a non-branded BERNINA-compatible replacement. Confirm the old-style rounded shank back without a cutout before ordering; new-style feet and #57D Dual Feed feet are different parts.
