How to fit it
Read your sewing-machine and accessory instructions before use. Switch the machine off for fitting. Raise the needle bar and presser-foot bracket fully. Position the drive lever around the needle fastening screw, seat the shank opening on the machine cone, and secure the fixing lever. Use a straight stitch with the needle centered, the feed dog raised and stitch length setting 1–5. Do not exceed 400 stitches per minute. Some smooth, coated or heavy fabrics are unsuitable for gathering. Test the setting on scrap fabric first.

No. The 801 to 900 series take a different ruffler. This one is for the Old Style Group A machines listed.
Can I sew without pleating?
Yes. The 0 setting sews straight without pleats.
