Brother PC7500 Accessories & Compatibility Guide

Sewlume Editorial |

When buying Brother PC7500 accessories, keep two checks separate: the exact part must support the model, and you must have the equipment needed to use it. A shared Brother name or presser-foot label does not settle either question.

SA155 bobbins are a useful starting reference: Brother explicitly lists PC-7500 for this clear-plastic accessory. For layered sewing, its SA140 walking foot list also names PC-7500, with specific operating restrictions.

Bobbins: use the SA155 reference

Brother describes SA155 as a 3/8-inch-deep clear plastic bobbin. Use the exact accessory number and PC7500 applicability when checking a replacement. An unqualified “Class 15” label does not identify this offer precisely enough.

SA156 is a separate Brother accessory described as 7/16 inch deep. Do not substitute it because another Brother machine uses it. In particular, BC1000 appears on Brother's SA156 list; that machine's bobbin match is not a replacement rule for PC7500.

The bobbin and bobbin case are different parts. Check the reference for the piece you need, and follow the PC7500 manual for winding and loading. Match any prewound bobbin and its thread to the machine's requirements before use.

Presser feet: read the fitting instructions

Check whether the item clips onto the existing holder, replaces the holder or needs a separate adapter. Then check exact PC7500 support, stitch restrictions and required needle position. A foot that physically attaches has not thereby been approved for every stitch.

The SA140 is an exact walking-foot example named by Brother for PC-7500. Brother's description distinguishes walking feet by factors including feed-dog width and shank height. It restricts SA140 to suitable forward-feed stitches; reverse, sideways feeding and other unsupported feed movements are excluded.

Do not read “7mm” in the accessory's name as a new maximum setting for the machine. Follow the PC7500 and SA140 instructions together. A walking attachment is also a different purchase from an ordinary snap-on sole.

Pick a foot for the technique

  • Quilting: decide whether you need a piecing guide, an even-feed attachment or a free-motion attachment. They perform different jobs and have separate setup requirements.
  • Zippers: match a standard or invisible-zipper foot to the zipper and sewing method.
  • Hems: a guide helps position the fold, but the foot and stitch must support the intended finish.
  • Buttonholes: match the actual replacement foot and any required mechanism to the machine's specified setup.

For a multi-foot kit, check the model support for each component you plan to use. Do not infer compatibility of every piece from one usable foot.

Needles and other replacement parts

Use the needle system and permitted sizes in the PC7500 manual, then choose the point type for the fabric and thread. A wide choice of domestic needles does not mean every specialty needle or size is suitable.

Needle plates, cases, covers and electrical parts require their own exact references. Presser-foot compatibility does not transfer to those components. For a controller or cord, retain the machine's region and electrical requirements when identifying the replacement.

Fit, check and test

Follow the manual's power-off procedure before changing accessories. Fit the component as instructed, without forcing it. Stop if the needle contacts the foot or plate. Once the setup is correct, try the permitted stitch on project scraps before sewing the final fabric.

Before checkout

Confirm the complete model, exact accessory reference, required holder or adapter, included pieces and intended technique. If any item is unclear, email Sewlume support the candidate listing and clear photos of the existing accessory.

Can I use an accessory from another Brother?

Yes when that exact accessory explicitly supports PC7500 with the required conditions. Similar specifications or a shared marketing series are insufficient by themselves.
